Yuming Zhang
I am currently a Ph.D. student in Statistics in the Geneva School of Economics and Management at the University of Geneva in Switzerland, advised by Prof. Stéphane Guerrier. Before my Ph.D. studies, I obtained a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in United States.
My research interests include high dimensional statistics and computational methods. In particular, I focus on simulation based methods that enjoy desirable statistical properties and computational efficiency in order to provide more accurate statistical inference when handling large and complex modern data settings. A second line of my research investigates time series related methods that have broad applications in various interdisciplinary fields such as engineering and medicine.
